As the exhaust gases leave the engine they are cooled and muffled in the water muffler and exit through the exhaust port in the stern.
The engine exhaust pipe is connected to the water muffler via the hump hose.
After leaving the muffler the exhaust/water mixture flows through a flexable rubber hose.
