I've installed a high output alternator and smart regulator.
Changed the battery system. Upgraded the traveler and main sheeting
system. Changed the reefing system to a single line and led it to
the cockpit. I've had the boat for 8 years and do most of the maintenance
and upkeep on it myself and if I could add anything I'll sure try

We are brand new to sailing. We took a friend's advice and brought the C34
because he said it is a good boat, and a forgiving boat to learn on. The boat had been
very well maintained with no major problems. We are planning on sailing in the bay
for the first season, then moving on from there. I plan on adding electronics and air
conditioning. We are "do it your selfers" so all advise is welcomed. |

"Genesis" has been moved from San Diego,
CA to Lake Pueblo, CO. While we will certainly miss sailing the southern
California coast, lake sailing with kids and grand kids isn't all
that bad either. Moving a 34 foot boat a third of the way across the
country was a new experience for us ... and was the cause of many
a sleepless night after turning her over to a bunch of complete strangers.
As it turns out, everyone involved was very professional and most
helpful. In retrospect, it wasn't all that bad.
